Now I'm into 2009

Now we're into the middle of February 2009. So much for trying to update my blog in the 2 weeks we had off over the holidays. Sigh.

What am I doing so far in 2009?

Well, I'm remodeling my hobby room. My husband just put in a new floor for me. I want to make my room a really pretty place to work in.

My health has been okay. Sometimes dealing with MS is a pain in the behind. The medication I am on makes me extremely tired. I've been using the treadmill and trying to eat healthy, though.

My mom had to have emergency surgery in January. That was scary. My parents are both healthy people. Our family hasn't had to deal with much in the way of major illness. My mom bounced back pretty quick though. I was surprised seeing what major surgery they did. We almost lost her. That feeling is terrible.

I've been swapping quite a bit on Swap-bot. I've met some very friendly and talented people on Swapbot. It gives me something creative to do. I love seeing the fabulous work of other people, too.

Oh, and I've been buying supplies and stuff again. I took a break from buying paper crafting supplies a while ago. I purchased a couple Cricut cartridges, some Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders and some border punches. Valentine's Day creativity pretty much slipped me by since I'm so tired, but now I'm trying to set a goal of creating at least one new item per day (or at least get one item almost done per day).

Well, I guess that's it.

I'm a horrible blogger!

I had big plans for doing my blog. I have some cute things made, but life has been too busy. I'm a horrible blogger. I get 2 weeks off for the holidays, so perhaps I can work on my blog then.

I Finally Got A Cricut Expression!!

I am so excited. I finally got my first Cricut!! The UPS carrier just dropped it off. I'm so excited to get it unpacked and set up in my "studio".

I snowed today. It's not even Halloween, yet I woke up to some snow. It is going to warm back up into the 50s tomorrow. I was just surprised to see it.

Once I get my Cricut set up I'll take a photo of it. I'll also show you my crafting space.

My First Post

Today is my first post on my blog. It's funny because I created this blog in March of 2007. I guess I wasn't quite sure where to start or what to put on my blog.

Since the holiday season is approaching, I thought maybe I'd share some of the creations I'm making.

I've always been into crafting since I was little. Unfortunately, none of my family and friends really share my love of crafting.

I've been a scrapbooker since the summer of 1996. I saw a television show called Aleene's Creative Living. They had a segment on scrapbooking. I immediately wanted to try it. We had no internet. There were no scrapbooking supplies here at the time. I went to Wal Mart, bought colored copy paper and glue sticks and started.

I'm also into sewing, card making, stamping, doll making, cross stitch, etc. It all depends what I feel like working on at the moment.

I'm an avid Cabbage Patch Kids collector. I've been collecting Cabbage Patch Kids since 1983. I have hundreds of Cabbage Patch Kids. I never tire of them.

I guess that's a pretty decent start
